Private Equity Portfolio Leasing Company
Challenge: A private equity acquired leasing firm requiring finance transformation. Kria Advisors was engaged to rapidly fix financial close then taking 18 days or 3.6 weeks, manage liquidity and tax compliance under a 12-week assignment.
Complication: Four weeks in the leasing firm VP Corporate Controller & key staff departed unexpectedly before year-end due to differences with the Private equity firm acquirer.
Immediate Action: Kria Advisors' Principal Advisor stepped in as Interim VP Corporate Controller executing a seamless annual close, audit completion, liquidity visibility and tax statutory compliance. Kria Advisors maintained Project momentum - month-end close improved to just four days!
Transformation: Per client request Kria Advisors remained in role for 18 months completing a full transformation into a scalable data driven finance. Kria assisted implementing a best-in-class tax compliance system, automated treasury and payables with a new ERP while cross training, upskilling the team with revamped & automated Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Record to Report cycles .
Result: The transformation enabled new capital investment, multi-fold growth in deal flow, revenue and profitability. The firm was able to offer enhanced lease products. Kria Advisors transitioned the function to a new Corporate Controller and FP&A head while cutting audit and tax cycle times by 50%, aligning the business with top-quartile industry standards.
